Access line

I'm after a dedicated access line for srt and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. It'll be primarily used with ascenders in a rope walker type system with the very occasional use with a wrench. At the moment I just use my climbing line but I feel that it's wearing too quick probably due to the toothed ascenders. Cheers.

I would go with beal dynastat.. good with ascenders, not too static but not like bungee cord either plus it turns dynamic if you take a fall on it.. 10.5mm. I know a few people who use it with the wrench. they have no grumbles.

Nice. Cheers Ben. I definitely don't want anything too static as I like a bit of bounce in my ropes. Will check it out.

If you like a bit of bounce try kernmaster, I'm pleased with mine

Yeah I've been tempted with kernmaster. Do you find it stiff enough for ascenders? Someone told me they found it a bit too supple.

I use a pretty static line in Norway and to be honest it hurts my knees a bit after a while....maybe I'm getting old!!! With a bit of bounce I find I can get a better rhythm. I know it kind of defies all logic for an ascent line!!!

Freeworker - Gleistein GeoStatic 11.0 Semi-static rope - climb up high! this line ticks all the boxes , not to static but not to bouncy either . good for a bit of wrenching too.
