My splicing attempts

Hi all,i attended a 16 strand rope splicing course earlier this week with nod from tree worker. It was a very educational and enjoyable day taught by someone who really knows what there talking about.
Id say that anyone whos interested in the make up and construction of there ropes would really learn and get alot from attending such a course.
Cant wait for the 24 strand one now

Here's some of my attempts ive done this week.

Re: My splicing attempts

Looking very good.

Adictive, I'd imagine.

Alas I didn't get to go on to the course, but sent one of the team along (Casper) who like yourself can't talk highly enough of the day & Robs delivery of it

Re: My splicing attempts

Nice work, it's amazing how easy it is once you get your head around it, do you do the bury in one go or do you, like me, do it in four? Shame I had to miss the course after waiting all this time.

At the min i do it in one but not really played around with other methods yet. What advantage is there your way? Less friction? Ive only done yale xtc and the one marlow splice up to yet. The cross over on the marlow was a knightmare!!
Shame you dint make it mate was a very good workshop.

Re: My splicing attempts

Yes, less friction, try it out, I won't attempt to do it in one go anymore.

Nod has been in touch, there are courses coming up, I still intend to attend one.
