Milling Pics

Took these photos back in the winter when i first got my mill, i thought i had posted them on here, but i guess i didnt haha :blushing:

 

Well here they are, this was the first time we used the mill and i loved it :001_tt1:

 

36" Granberg Alaskan Mill with a Sachs Dolmar 153 (100cc) running a 25" bar and .404 ripping chain, milling some cedar that we had knocking around the yard.

i have a simillar milling kit i bort from alaskan mill, i milled some cherry and jigsawed out some postcard size holes and made this, it was first attempt

lovely mate, i thought your grandad would have a steam engined one lying about:001_cool:

haha nahhh, we do have 2 bandsaws though, the one is set up and run by an old zetor but its all cover and hasnt been used this year because of the weather, this is the first year since it has been set up (20years probs) it hasnt been used, then we have a huge bandsaw thats all in pieces in a shed, that has never been set up, it has a maximum cut of about 6 or 7 foot, i'll talk to my granddad and find out what it actually could do, and maybe pursaude him to set it up :)

 

o yeah and we just bought a portable bandsaw off some guy and we are getting that in september when we come back from canada, well looking forward to using it, can cut a log 20ft long :o
