Lovely View

This is Croome Court, designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown. What a place..! The man made river and walled gardens are something else.

We were performing some funky reductions on some poplars, basically to restore the view from the Panorama Tower Folly and the Pirton Castle folly. Many miles apart but you can see across the landscape from one folly to another and also the park seat folly by the main house, at any one folly you could see across to the other 2, albeit for 3 annoying poplars situated on the edge of the lake...until today.

Was a bit of a ballache having the boss drive round from one view point to the other and communicating via mobile phone, but it worked out ok...from the panorama tower you can't tell they have even been reduced, and the view has been restored...happy days.

Re: Lovely View

Imagine old Bugger Brown didn't have Poplars in mind when the landscape & views were designed.

Cracking place to work, lucky you

Re: Lovely View

Lovely pics fella!

Fancy pruning trees for the sake of a view – all those open wounds – all that vigorous re-growth! I keep getting asked to open-up the view of Worcester Cathedral from New Road cricket ground – I keep telling them to stuff it!
