I've got a pair of haix protector pros which I bought about 4 years back that I thought I'd crushed the steel toecap on one of them... Turns out it was just a **** load of dirt/sawdust that I cut out! They're probably not going to be waterproof anymore but they'll do as a spare...

Anybody else had this problem?

I had a pair of the tibet forest that did the same. I though it was the lining that had slipped until I cut inside and found similar to you.

They were the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever owned but started hearing of more and more people not being happy with them so didn't go for them again this time.
