I bought one last year for home use, as myself and two Sons all have log burners. So far the machine has worked very well splitting some big beech, ash and others wood. The pump stopped working after the first hours work but Oxdale came down the next morning and fitted a new one. Very pleased with the machine so far and is very cheap to run. I really wanted a tractor and splitter but could not justify the cost for the amount of wood we use.

Same boat as me, don't split enough to get a tractor! Sounds good did notice on there website any diameter log goes.

I had one for a year or so, didnt use it that much in the end ( change of direction business wise).

When i first got it they had fitted the wrong type of connection that resulted in when it was lowered into travel position it bent the pipe joint to the hydraulic tank.

cant say i was impressed by their customer service in as much as when i called them up to ask the obvious question that this couldnt be right they huffed and puffed like it was my fault that they fitted the wrong connection.

But that aside the machine is good, very easy to move about the garden etc and weights nothing on the back of a vehicle.

if i needed to i would buy another one.

Cheers

Yes I have split some very large rings with the splitter without any problem. I like the working height of the machine and find it very easy to town. My woodland is 3 miles from home and it tows that distance without any problem

Good to know, any idea on the speed rating of such small tyres??
