After a new pole saw, was going to just order a stihl one off Jonsie but now that's no longer possible was thinking of getting the Husky 327PT5s, or maybe the new echo one. Thoughts please:001_smile:

We use ours about once a week (and more for hedges) it's priceless for relieving tension/compression on trees which have fallen and are leaning on something fragile (like a shed) where you want to cut a bit but don't want to be on it in case it drops all of a sudden.

Also handy for branches 2 - 4 inches diam. which cannot be climbed to and are too big for the pruning pole set.

You can also put a hedge trimmer on it to reach higher (but don't tell your supplier).

Apparently the clutch system can't cope with the sudden stops you get with hedge trimmers when you hit a thicker branch). The chainsaw clutch prevents such problems when using it.

Overall a great piece of kit for safe/non climbing work.

We even use it in the tree in extreme cases.
