Snake Attack!

This guy got stuck in our drain and I had to cut him out.

 

It was a harmless Grass Snake. Told the wife it was an escaped Coastal Taipan, but I really wish I hadn't :lol:

 

It was about 2 1/2 feet long... biggest I've seen in the UK.

 

Grass snakes can get pretty long. We have them here and the biggest I have seen was long enough to go right across a pallet and partway back - I reckon around 5'6".

Fair play but sod that, I would of shot the thing first 😁.

 

Yep, they say snakes only strike 1st if they feel threatened which is fair enough.

 

If I was armed with a 12 gauge and met a snake (of any kind) I'd react in exactly the same way.
