As in it cannot make sense for me to go down the RHI route, even at a deemed and capped £2,000.00/year over 7 years.

Plus £2,500.00 up front

When we only used 250 gallon of kero this past 12month, I was gobsmaked when I checked today at lunchtime.:001_huh:

The Morso obviously does stirling work in the front room:lol:

hmmm

£16,500 return over 7 years for £11,00.00 outlay now.

might actually be worth it after all:lol::lol::lol::lol:

but if I remove the oil boiler for to qualify for the deemed payment, I really need to add in the cost of solar hot water install for the summer months.

I am hearing of people actually having biomass being taken out, our farrier for one. He had a pellet one installed, being quoted a price per bag and tonne rate, but could not get the tonne rate unless he collected it, worked out it was cheaper to stay with oil. The company had to reinstall a new oil boiler for him and make good all pipe work.

I would think that is very short sighted.

You don't install a biomass boiler for the short term.

Overall it must be costing him a lot of money to keep changing
