I kinda like the idea of this piece, its somethign different

but as for what Difflock says... is it a chainsaw carving?

i think i would have to say it is. most of the work si done using a chainsaw but she uses other tools for finishing. thats hardly unusual, most of us use non-chain tools for finishing on a lot of our carvings.

I have to say though, i dont like painted carvings. I like the colour of the wood and this looks like a nice piece of redwood, its a shame to cover it up with paint but each to their own

It has to be painted white otherwise it wouldn't resemble a Weirwood tree and then would have virtually no connection to A Game of Thrones except for the face in the tree.

But, it is not "chainsaw carved".

Merely a wooden sculpture.

Well done admittedly.

but not chainsaw carved and finished.

It's not 100% chainsaw carved no.

Neither is 99% of the stuff that all of us do and put on here but we still put it up on the chainsaw carving thread. Oh yeah that's because it was carved with a chainsaw.

Sorry I haven't seen many 100% carved pieces on here why don't you ask Steve to make us a power carving thread instead!
