First Attempt At Carving

Hi folks,had a go this weekend and now hooked!! Used Husq 135 with standard bar, angle grinder with flap discs , blow torch , some grinding drill bits and finished with some Danish oil. Any tips or advice would be appreciated thanks .

These are your first tries at this? Amazing! Do they make small-sized chainsaws especially for the purpose of chainsaw carving? They certainly should -- smaller, lightweight tools would give an artist more control and better results. Of course, the question would be how much demand there is for such a thing, but I imagine they already make chainsaws in varying lengths anyway, right? Still, one specifically designed and balanced for this purpose would be great. I'll bet one of you craftsman out there could put one together, but I suppose you're all too busy carving! Anyway, keep up the good work!
