for larch i would like to see a large knife behind the blade and wedges on hand, also how did you get on with the blades? the teeth look like simonds 3 x 9 insert - gotta love a big circular mill!

 

It's a bit of a beast!:thumbup1:The knife is being painted at the minute. Your exactly right with the blade simonds inserts. Lancashire saws can sort me out they have hundreds in stock and at a quid a piece I don't think badly priced! I've just put all new bearings in it. It's built like a tank and really easy to work on.

I think there can only be a handful of laimet saws in the country? I know County 764 has one and Abbey timber has one too anyone else have one or know of any more about?:confused1:

 

I don't know of any others. There was one in Northern Scotland for sale a couple of years back, and I know that Willie at Abbey Timber speaks highly of his.
