Kirklees Tree Officer

Has anyone a direct number for a Kirklees TO? The call centre I've just had to deal with couldn't clarify whether a property was in a CA or subject to individual/area TPO's.

First thing I was told was there was no protection, then after querying that, the lady realised that she'd forgotten to click a button and then suddenly its 'all green' - so it's protected.

What a state of affairs:001_rolleyes:

Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) and trees in conservation areas

Full online maps for Kirklees.

The direct number for Joe is made available as often as the direct number for Santa and the tooth fairy. He is also rarely in the office. You can as stated request a call back but if it is to ask for info that is freely available or the call centre SHOULD be able to sort you might not get a super friendly response. He is a busy man.

Thanks Kevin, this is what I was trying to find earlier - instead of phoning. I had it bookmarked previously but upgrading to Windows 10 I somehow lost it (or just can't find it)

Every LA website is a little different and I've spent many hours trying to get everything available online. Some aren't available on interactive mapping, some just don't load of Java/only run in explorer and some councils have actually removed CA's from their sites recently.:confused1:

Anyway, your links led me to the answer, thank you.

I don't think you can contact him direct, sure their is only 1 to for the whole area! i waited 6 days for him to contact me as the woman in the call centre thought i was talking Chinese!

Almost everyone has a mobile, who actually is privy to it is another matter:biggrin:

With the current staffing levels of many arb sections, Kirklees is probably lucky that they even have a dedicated TO. :sneaky2:

  • 10 months later...

I was trying to search an address this afternoon, so googled 'Kirklees TPO's' This thread was the third or fourth hit

I tried Kev Stephenson's link, but the page wanted 'Internet Explorer', so a found it under another search term - then thought to post it here:biggrin:

If I'd gone through the call centre:sneaky2: originally in 2016, I'd probably still be waiting for a response to my original enquirey:lol:
