Stihl ms 180 problem
Hope someone can help? I've got a ms180 and it's playing up it will start fine run for 30 seconds then die! it will restart but as before 30 seconds and it will die again! I've stripped it cleaned it took the carb apart cleaned it but still the same.

Paul, I would have a look at the fuel pickup hose in the first instance, failing that the carb may need an ultrasonic clean and a refurb with new membranes and diaphragms as it sounds like it may be using up the choke fuel and is then unable to pull fuel through the main jet.
I had one a few weeks ago that I had the carb apart 3 times before getting it right. Good luck

Run it with the fuel cap loose and see it it does it then. If not then replace the fuel cap and/or tank breather. Easiest and quickest diagnosis in the first instance.
