Brake maintainance

Here's another one I did today.

If your handbrake comes right up it means your brakes need checking for either, adjustment or wear or both. If your handbrake comes all the way up, dont ignore it

The brakes weren't even working and the lining on the shoes paper thin on an 08 timberwolf

Re: Brake maintainance

Dean, your spot on.

On a handbrake with a big energy store, the height of the handbrake is a good visual indicator of the state of the brakes. The higher it comes - the more cable is being pulled in before the shoes hit the drums. Always adjust at the drum and never mess with the linkage.
