Husky 343R Brush Cutter Problem

Recommended Posts

My Husky 343R brush cutter has developed a fault. I fitted the bramble basher blade and as soon as I rev the machine the head assembly is rotating under torque.

I have torqued up the clamping screws but no fix. Is there meant to be a keyway or spline that prevents this or have I snapped something.

Cheers in advance.

Do you mean the gearbox rotates on the shaft? I have had to fix this on several brush cutters and if the clamping bit is cracked I use an exhaust clamp over the lot.

Yep the gearbox is rotating on the shaft. I can't believe it relies on two bolts to stop it rotating, surely it should be splined? Poor design, thanks openspace, I'll look at that option.

Thx Craig

One on a Stihl and one on husky, yes I know the guarding is inadequate
