I'm fitting a log grab to my MOG hiab, trying to find somewhere that sells rubber tracks for the pipes to retract into when you extend the boom.

Has anyone done similar ?

Andy if you have a load of extensions it will pay to go for the reels. If not the pipes will be ok in chaintrack.

have a good look at some of the timber cranes with extending booms, the way the pipes are routed keeps them safe, 4 3/8" 2 wires inside a spiral poly sleeve will roll the way you set them up, just got to cope with the loop. it'll be expensive to go with hose reels or chain track.......trust me
