As some of you may know I had to have my 3 year old working cocker ( in my avatar ) put down when he showed the third episode of " Cocker Rage " in attacking my daughter and wife . ....... That was last week end and now we have an 8 week old black bitch . And so the work begins .............

Gutted for you, that must have been hard even if you knew it was the right thing to do.

I've heard that this can be a fairly common thing with working cockers?

Thanks Paul . Yes I have heard that as well but I have had 8 , 9 now and never come across it before .

All cockers, not just workers.

I blame the kennel club and breeders. Trying to strive for the perfect dog, whether it is for working or showing.

I know of at least 2 that friends and family have owned that have gone crackers. We had a cocker when I was growing up and even though he was a bit loopy, it never turned serious.

Let's see the pics mate and good luck with the training.

We've got two working Cockers, and a retired (read as retarded) Springer......

The only aggression ever shown from the male Cocker is when the Springer boils his piss. Springer is the ole boy, cocker is the up and coming star of the show (in his world). It handbags every now and then, but some times blood spills.

Who'd have dogs as mates, hey?
