Boot hooks & HAAS etc?

Old Mill Tree Care

I seem to persistently have problems with ascending devices bending the lace hooks on my boots.

The first time was my foot ascender benign a lace hook on my Airstreams. Today my HAAS bent a hook on my new Prabos boots.

Does anyone have the same problem?

I realise that changing my HAAS to a clip on and putting a foot loop on my boot would solve this but I don't want the foot loop because I reckon it would make the sole slippery when branch walking.

(Although I often wear my Clip 'n Step boots so that would be a good combo, obviously.)

Apart from blaming the groundie for this unacceptable gear failure, I don't know what else to do!

I have Prabos boots with a foot loop from 4SRT for my HAAS. Haven't noticed a problem when branch walking, (to be honest I hadn't even thought of that) and so far no problems with eyelets bending.

Don't you find that the webbing strap under your foot is a bit more slippery than the rubber sole would be?

I just thought it would be.

Thanks.
