To run it on 3/8 you will need to find a 3/8 rim with a small spline, if you fit the correct big spline sprocket you will need to change the oil pump drive gear.

Yes, but Husky sells them, even though they don't list them (504 52 30-02).

 

You can of couse change the drum to a standard 7-spline one instead.

 

I will not say you shouldn't run .325 on those saws, but at least try an 8-pin rim (505 30 36-72) if you do so.

 

What will work best will vary with a lot of factors, so only the operator can find out what works best for him - by trying the options. That actually is fun, if you have time for it! :001_smile:
