Hi,

There will be an oil feed adjustment screw underneath, turn this clockwise to increase oil flow. 30" bar requires fairly high oil flow.

If that dosnt work, remove the bar & check the oil feed hole on the casing is clear & the oil feed hole in the bar is clear.

If that dosnt work, maybe a problem with the oiler but check the above first & post back.

ideally the chain should be wet with oil after use.not spraying oil like a bike wheel in the rain and not as dry as the sahara.we used to start saw and point bar tip at a log or stump ,run saw and watch the oil droplets build up .i think this practice is no longer recommended now(h+s et all) but it worked jake

Hi all

I'm a complete novice when it comes to chainsaws. I recently bought a second hand ms441 with a 30" bar, but when I'm using very little oil appears to be getting to the chain.

So my question is how lubricanted does the chain have to be?

Hi windy for a 30 you need a 660)390xp thanks jon
