Can somebody explain the £100+ difference between the 365X and 372xp.

 

Why would I pay more? Is it worth it?

 

Ta,

 

Husqvarna get lazy sometimes, in this case they released two machines that were identical apart from the fact they detuned the 365 by fitting transfer covers with internal restrictors in them to take off a bit of power.

 

Simply purchase the 365 and run it through the warranty period and then grind the restrictors out and you have a 372. You culd also change the recoil cover sticker to make you feel bigger as required:001_rolleyes::lol:

The 365 has some sort of baffle installed in the cylinder restricting the transfer ports. Other than that they are the same AFAIK.

 

The 365 can be turned into a 372 by grinding out the baffles; covered all over the net.

 

I've turned a 365 into a 372 with zero issues, albeit the non-X torq version. I believe the x-torq version follows the same pattern as far as the bottom end being identical.

 

The non-X torq versions have different carbs, but presumably the x-torq versions don't even have that difference!

The 365 special has a conventional designed two stroke engine tather than the strato type later generation design.

 

The 365 special has a similar design engine to the older 372XP, nothing wrong with these saws bar modding them isn't as easy.

 

The 365/372XTorq has a strato type engine, a radical design on the exhaust port outlet, strato pipes and separators in the inlet duct taking clean air in to the upper transfers - you did ask:sneaky2::lol:

 

Basically different top end, carb, inlet manifolds and top cover!
