Snakes have two types of bite a quick sharp defensive bite where they tap and let go an that's it or a feeding bite where they strike and constrict and attempt to swallow, the safest thing is to wait untill they get bored or realise that they haven't got a chance because you can do a lot of damage trying to peel one of these little guys off, slightly different story with Burms, boas, retics etc

Was going to say there was no way I'd have let my burm attempt that on the few occasions she got me, she never got as far as constriction mind and they were all feeding strikes.
