Hiya,

Im looking for a small saw to do hedge reductions etc with, I have an MS260 but alot of the time its abit "overkill" for what im cutting! Been looking at the Echo range after reading some good things about them on here (Dartmoor Timber Cutter seems to rave about them!) Anyway I like the look and weight (or lack of it!) of the Echo CS280wes, has anyone got one? Are they any good? :confused1:

For £231 I may even get one myself to use on the ground.

Not meaning to hijack the thread. But if you need a little more oomph and can put up with hefting 2Lbs extra, you can get the CS310ES for £239inc.

I' m cracking on towards 70 so weight was the biggest issue for me in going for the smallest model, I have seen the the CS310ES selling for a penny less than 200 quid so must be worth a go if as you say the weight isn't an issue.

Echo saws generally have very low power output for their weight and cc, so try to avoid them.

Either they don't know how to port the engines properly, or they respect thert costumers too little to care to do it.
