The trailer weighs 6 tonne empty. So for tractor use I think the magic figure is 14 tonne so about 8 tonne of timber. The axles are good for 16 tonne and there will be 2 tonnish on the draw bar so in theory it could take 10-12 tonne of cord. It takes 2.4 lengths and can get 2 stackes on. For ease I am thinking of fitting 4 extensions in the middle so I can get 6 or 7 tonne of 3 metre lengths on. Any ideas welcome. The timber in the pics is 3 metre and its a pita to load neatly.

Looking good, it must give you a certain sence of satisfaction to use something that you built yourself. However one it has been in the woods a few times and you have inadvertantly dropped a few logs on it, i doubt that i will look as good, and i give you a month before the lights are either broken or smashed or both.

Well done.

I cant take credit for the fabrication as it was done by cherries. The crane repairs and brakes were all mine and I have the cuts to prove.
