Disabled Facilities (Advice Needed)

TRADITIONAL LOGGERS

Recommended Posts

We all work in a dangerous occupation and having moved to Telemark Norge we wanted to be able to allow those who are disabled to come and visit here in all seasons.

So instead of converting the main house we are thinking about a new wooden cabin but need some advice from both people who are disabled and those who have relatives that are.

Facilities and Activities?

General Needs?

I am looking at purchase of a 3 wheel Tramper so people can ride down to the lake across the fields.

Welcome to post in public / send me a PM.

Thanks.

They trampers are great for those that can transfer into them. I use a Swiss Trac (Google and check spelling) which means I can use my own wheelchair and get the machine in the back of my car. This means I get in the country for shooting etc without always needing help. The big problem with disabled access is we are all different so you need to look how to cater for most people at once without incurring extra costs. I recently went to a boat yard with a great disabled toilet which had a step for access out of the shop hours. As a wheelchair user this meant it was impossible to use when the shop was closed
