Another great singer/songwriter away to the band in the sky!

 

Loved his lyrics and view on life. Never the cheeriest but thought provoking and honest on the ups and downs of love and life.

 

Hallelujah one of best songs ever written.

We'll be hearing from him, long after he's gone....a hundred floors above us, in the tower of song.......maybe it was the stress of the election that did for him?

I saw him in 2013 at the O2.

 

At one point it was just him on stage, alone, in front of an audience of 20,000. You could have heard a pin drop. His presence was awe inspiring.

 

(Oh and he then did Tower of Song solo on a 1980s keyboard, somewhat taking the mick).

He was an incredible song writer and one singer I have always come back to. Even to he's last album he still managed to keep things sounding fresh and new. Sad to see him go.
