My contact is up and i need to renew. What are peoples thoughts on the best latest smart phone, samsung or apple?? I have been samsung but i believe they do several types like 'the note' etc.

S6 for me. Got a as new reconditioned one recently. Essentially a customer return. Very happy with it. Ace phone.

Another vote for the Motorola - I got a £70 Moto E, android and it does all I want a phone to do, camera isn't as good as an Iphone but you can get a good camera with the change from £600 minus £70!! The battery does 2.5 days which is more then my old Iphone 6!

 

Personally I don't get the Apple phenomena, sure their products are desirable and work well but at a massive cost compared to other mainstream products. Android is a pretty slick affair now and works well in my meagre opinion.

Had a Moto G and was really happy with it . Still got it and it still works but was due an up grade and now have this Huawie . The camera on it is unbelievable .

Worth a thought, don't forget that 'office equipment' and 'computers' are eligible for AIA in the tax return.

 

A good smart phone has more computing power than early NASA computers so I'd happily argue with (picture) that it's an 'office in my pocket.'

 

Smartphone is millions of times faster than NASA's 1960s computers

 

I find it more economic to buy the phone and be free of the shackles of the EU (whoops, that's a different thread) free of the shackles of a contract. I get more data, minutes & texts than I can use for £8 / month on a contract free phone. Was paying £45 / month on contract so doesn't take long for the phone to pay for itself through reduced contract fees - so long as it doesn't get broken!

 

Have yourself a nice one and let (picture) help pay for it! Bonus!!
