Laying a Hazel hedge - sap flow

It won't stop the stool from producing new shoots but if the cambium gets rupturedat the plash cut the laid bit won't survive. Even if the sap is running I think you are safe until cell division starts presumably as buds expand.

 

 

Just going to have to crack on and get it done then ;)
