Idiot proof tools

Recommended Posts

So, felling season has come around again in t' wood and I'm looking at low tech tools to make life easier and save the back. I'm particularly interested in the Tree Jack and the Junior Fetching Arch from Orion Heating and would be very interested to hear anyone's opinion on them.

All thoughts gratefully received:thumbup:

Hi Geoff , Have you worn that New Sawbench out yet ? Cracking bit of kit but my tractor is bang on its limit with mine .

Ste

Geoff?

I did all my sawing with the one I had on loan so haven't actually used the new PTO one yet!

The saw runs at 350 rpm so I hope my 50hp tractor should run it OK.

I've used a tree Jack in Sweden can't remember the make tho, good useful piece of kit. Did reinforce a few bits tho and a bigger base plate on the bottom but it was a bit boggy where I was using one.

Cheers Ian.

Are they only used for sending back learners in the opposite direction or can you Jack them over at any angle? If that makes sense!
