Hiya,

Just bought a cs100, picking it up on Wednesday! As its in London and I'm down in Cornwall I'm going to hire a transit box van to pick it up. I have some ramps so shouldn't be a problem, however my work truck is a double cab Hilux. I need to work out a winch type jobber to pull it up the ramps into the Hilux, anyone else do this and got any tips?! I know I may have to remove the shoot or the hopper to do this as the double cab dosent have a long load bed. Just wondering if anyone else has this set up and how you do it! I do have a small trailer available but on jobs where I can leave chip on site it would be easier to leave the trailer at home!:)

Also - it's best balanced with the in-feed hopper fully extended (make sure it's LOCKED in place don't want it folding back up at the crucial moment), and all the bits on. If you remove bits then it gets unbalanced and you have to wrestle it just to stay upright. It's a heavy bit of kit to lose control of on an incline - real leg breaker. Easier to pull up backwards with two guys than push up forwards but use that middle ramp and rig up some sort of progress capture.

Or simply buy a tracked barrow and ratchet her to it :001_smile: Drive itself onto your Hilux . Failing that fabricate a strong winch mount and fix to your ladder rack . The ladder rack will need bracing though . Some members have also fitted a trailer jockey wheel to there wee chipper which helps when moving around also it will stabilize if winching onto your truck . You will need a third ramp though . Mick Stockbridge off here has or had a greemech cs 100 and chips into his L200 . Might be worth sending him a message .

Most atv winches will power in and out . Id buy a one rated at a 1000kg or a ton whichever you prefer ; ) some decent buys on the bay . Im sure someone off here has a big manual hand winch fitted on there ladder rack which they use to pull there wee chipper with . Sure its an isuzu / vauxhall brava crew cab ? Get looking Im sure you,ll find it .
