Thanks, I think it's Phellinus pini. It's a mature Monterey. It's bleeding from what appears to be an old split in the main stem that doesn't go all the way through. There was 4 or 5 of these small brackets in the crown of the tree. I would've thought they have come about due to the tree being stressed but I'm not sure how detrimental to the trees health they both are. There is a property next to the tree.
