Got a couple of good sized/shape logs and wondering if it is worth using the alaskan on them? I know the big sawmills turn their noses up as it is too "pulpy" but does it have any particular benefits/uses over other softwoods? Cheers

Good for pallets...or firewood....:001_smile:

I always need a bit of low grade timber in the yard. If you can organise a lorry load, I'd take it at some point.

It's only a couple of stems i'm afraid so probably not worth it. Do you have contacts of any hauliers that move small loads? The only ones I've dealt with in the past are min 25 tonnes. Cheers

I use RD Anderson, but it does work out more per tonne to shift logs.
