What are the legalities of delivering round wood from yard to customer with the forwarder?

Hire and reward insurance?

I know i cant use red. Can i just pay duty on the red or do i need to pop down to the petrol station and fill up with white? It's only 3 miles down the road but i want to be all above board.

Same here!

Can't imagine you'd have a problem running a bit of timber around with that, but if you want to be totally legit I think you'd have to drain and refill with white.

I thought that would be the case. Thanks.

On a side not i thought only the older Valmets with the steering wheel in the cab were legal to drive on the roads. With the right lights and everything and the mini stick steering on the modern forwarders wasn't ment for road use:confused1:

when you said forwarder i imagined trundelling down the road with an 810d

Once between sites in Finland the bosses Farm was on the way. We stopped drove the harvester down his farm track. Felled a couple of Spruces out the front and processed them down to rings. Then tracked it back to the low loader and moved to the next site:lol:
