It doesn't seem to be oiling that well can't see oil coming off the bar I've got the oiler turned up to max. What am I doing wrong?

I use Oregon 21 bpx on 15" with 550xpg, does stretch but don't hav to tension every fill up, usually goes tighter (initially) if oiler not working them very slack, is your filing up to scratch or cutting rough dry wood?

HI TIM ive notice that to with oregon mate it stretch stihl chain does not thanks jon

All chain will "stretch" when getting hot, and brand has nothing to do with that stretch, as it is a natural and temporary result of the chain getting hot. It may help to turn the oiling up, and not over tightening the chain in the first place may also help.

Remember to remove any added tightening before setting the saw aside so it cools down. Worst case, failing to do so may result in a bent crankshaft.

The permanent stretch is a totally different matter, as it really is wear on rivets and in rivet holes.
