Trailer wheel sizes...

We have to replace our stolen Atlas tipper and so are looking at importing an Ifor tipper.

The models are available with either 12 or 13 size wheels.

My question for the panel of wisemen is this...

What are the advantages of larger wheels over the smaller.

Regards

Ty

Are they the 195 50 r13 or 185 70 r13 ?

First is a smaller over all diameter, personally I wouldn't go that route as we have enough trouble with 12" tyres on the tipper and crane trailer getting ruined when going up kerbs due to the tyre profile being too small, 195 is even smaller profile.

If they are 185 they are a bigger diameter, I might consider putting a full set of wheels and tyres that size on the crane trailer to try see if they are better up kerbs than the 12" currently on it.
