I've used a couple, not a massive fan of them bit of a pain to use, if I recall right it could be prone to blocking between the rollers and flywheel which is annoying when it happens.

The companies I worked with that used them never had issues with spares etc which is important.

If the price is right it does the job. I know one of the companies ended up trading theirs in for something a little better, so I'd look at one as a stepping stone to something better in the long run.

Be careful, if the chipper is the same one in the photo it should not be for sale. I don't know where it's advertised but it was originally for sale on eBay and has been doing the rounds on their for sometime.

It is the one pictured Ive been considering. It ended on eBay afew weeks ago and I messaged him to see if it was still available. He says yes, ended on eBay for £2650 he says he'll take £2500..... sounds too good to be true that's why I was wondering if they're shite!

I have a Jensen 518 now, it's my first chipper and doing me well so far, was just thinking of trading to something a bit better.

To be fair, if you Jenson is serving you well I'd leave it and save the pennies for a better machine.

And the golden rule with eBay on these purchase is give no money until you've seen it in person and checked it's legit.

The 518 is a cracking little chipper mind you I'm biased I bought one. As said stick with it will make you enough to buy a new sparkly one in a few years

I've got one exactly the same but mines only done about 600hrs. never had any problems at all with it except a wire got hot in the control box once, but a simple fix. replaced feed roller bearings last year.

The feed rollers are certainly not as powerful as some of the newer chippers and stubs do tend to get caught in the feed roller up and down guide bit. but just prep it properly and its fine.
