It looks to me like over feeding has caused a build up of drypatch apply a wetting agent give it a week then scarifying and overseding I was shocked to find out from an insider who works there they use 38 % nitrogen it's going to keep happening my advice would be to stop them and feed yourself wouldn't use more than 8 \ 10 % farmers only use 12% to grow there silage and there using 38 just shows you as a gauge here's an example it's like eating loads of creame cakes you might be happy but doesn't do you any good

I did think that but the rest of the lawn is ok. I wondered if it was footprints from walking in spray but that does not really make sense as its only a small area not right next to edge.

I think I'll do as suggested and get all the dead out and seed it.

Can't do it myself regularly as its 150 miles from home !

Closer pics would be better but to me it looks like pink patch/red thread as on my monitor they have a red/pink tint to the patches.

I think it's just the light as they look brown up close just like dead grass from weed killing. I'll take a closer look in decent light tomorrow.

Hi all I'm up at my father in laws and he's asking about these dead patches on his lawn.

He has green thumb to spray etc.

They look a bit like weed killer to me but just after other opinions!

Thanks in advance

Far to early for Spraying regardless what these lawn treatment Chaps try to Bullshit you , sack them is all I say . Still frost on ground some Mornings and they are out Pecking Customers Heads with Science, Plenty of time for Grass to recover so don't Worry but to me Looks like Over Spray if Lawn Treatment has been applied or Just Plain Classic BLEACH OR SOAP POWDER residue from possible washing line .
