Opico Skidsteer.

We install mainly garden fencing and wondered whether one of these machines would be useful with the Auger attachment, digging the holes takes up most of the time on site as you all know and its hard graft for us 40 plus fellas :sneaky2:

I always planned to buy a micro digger and get an auger on that but they aren't always suitable due to the tracks, so would this be a decent alternative ?

Anybody have/used one ?

What they like ?

Are parts and other attachments readily available ?

The one i've seen has the loading bucket, some home made forks and a brick carrier.

they aint too bad but the borer isnt as amazing as you think, fast in the right kind of ground but it doesnt take alot to stop them if you get into tougher conditions. had one on a job in sussex and all the belts of sandstone in the ground meant at times it was quicker to dig with a graft.

strange that im from sussex and the Opico i use is based ontop of the hills at Fairlight basicly a huge sandstone and ironstone lump covered thinly in clay and we reguarly bore holes 18" by 3 feet deep into the sandstone !

maybe it was a duff machine or motor but we dont find it difficult or slow ?

every job is different !

there are a lot used in horticuture for screwing in the poly tunnel hoop ground poles in and out !
