Not sure about going rate, I am fairly certain a handy man and a mate could put it up in a couple of hours. So what ever the hourly rate is for a handy man in that area and multiply hourly rate by say 3.

For my garden shed I put a base of slabs down and then 2 pressure treated fence posts lying down as bearers for the shed base to sit on. Hopefully stop any water that sits on slabs from rotting the shed, maybe need to change the bearers in a few years, but that should be a 5 minute job, lever up one end of shed slide rotten bearer out slide new one in, hopefully.

I've had a B&Q shed 6 x 8 take me 5 hours as it was c**p and nothing fitted properly! Worst one was from Wilkinsons at 7 hours as I had to go off and buy roof support timber that was the correct length, cut the doors down to fit and generally ponce about. Best quality from a local supplier to me takes about an hour for 2 people - the old saying you get what you pay for definitely applies to sheds.

What Lazurus said about damp and level...:thumbup1:

Thanks

Only quote he has had was for two guys for a whole day £300 without doing the base. Sounds like this was on the steep side for the job involved

he might want to look through the local paper for a handyman... 150 tops for the day... probably take the chap 4 hours to get it done if he gets a move on..

My grounds lads (2 men) laid a base, flagged it and built a 8x6 in half a day!!

My local timber yard looks at 6-10 sheds a day installed depending on distance and sizes, again 2 lads. It's only 6 bits, 7 at the most then the roof felt!!

£100 top money for a shed install assuming base is down
