Anyone know what this is?!

Found in a deciduous shelter belt woodland, the trees being Oak, Horse Chestnut, Beech, and the occasional Ash and Hornbeam.

 

It's definitely a woody substance, I've never seen anything like this in England.

Yes, I did have coconut in mind, but couldn't think of where it would have come from.

 

The local fair is normally quite a way away from this woodland, can't imagine how it got here!
