Was at a factory site the other day. The walls were adorned with warnings and instructions. Even one telling you to use the handrails on the steps. The people there walked around like zombies turning at rightangles to cross roads on their marked walkways. The world is mad!

I know what you mean Graham.

I was walking in a town the other day, and all the people were walking on the pavements AND crossing the road on the Zebra crossings. IDIOTS!

I walked down the middle of the road just to demonstrate how smart I was - i bet all those townies were impressed :001_smile:

It does make me think, as an employer........... should I ask my staff to use such a tool!

It's ridiculous, the world really is so scared of being sued. I did a manual handling course a year or so back, I concluded that I wasn't allowed to use anything other than a silky in a tree, as even a wee saw is to heavy to use outside your core lifting position. oh, and as for branches on the ground representing a trip hazard, each must be removed to keep a clear path, roots/uneven ground must be leveled and the entire world must be wrapped in cotton wool. I could rant for days on this subject.

The packaging on that made me laugh mind!

My daughter ordered a steel shed from Argos and was out so I was there for the delivery. I offered to help the chap with it but he declined. He opened the lorry door and climbed out and he was massive, about 6' 6" and built like a brick outhouse. He chucked it on one shoulder and dropped it next to the back door and went on his way. I thought I'd move it round the corner to where it was going and had to shuffle it end over end took me ages. :D At the factory where I used to work there were walkways, one lad decided to step through a draught curtain as a short cut and got his foot run over by a reversing fork truck :( Messy boot removal followed.
