Associate Consultant - Surrey - £40,000-£45,000 + PRP

Our client is a highly regarded firm of Arboricultural Consultants based in an attractive part of Surrey. Established since 1991 the team is led by a Principal Consultant who has been an AA Registered Consultant for over 30 years. They currently employ a team of seven consultants and tree surveyors, plus several office support staff. The practice has built up strong relationships with numerous prestigious clients, advising them on a range of tree related issues, but specialising in trees and development. Working for these major companies on sites as diverse as 3 trees to 3000 trees, and 3 units to 3000 units, across London and the South East. With a very strong order book the company urgently needs to employ another Associate Consultant to fill a vacancy that has arisen due to relocation.

 

The Associate Consultant role will involve both hands on technical work as well as managing junior surveyors and other support staff undertaking more routine tasks. The Associates Consultant will be expected to:

 

1. Undertake/supervise site surveys and assessments of trees and woodlands; then format, check and analyse data collected on site to provide tree survey schedules, schedules of tree work, or other specific information required.

2. To add tree information to site surveys or proposed site layout plans; to produce arboricultural drawings based on AutoCAD templates.

3. To contribute to arboricultural reports and method statements using templates.

5. To supervise construction works adjacent to trees and monitor trees and tree protection measures on development sites.

6. To respond to and resolve technical enquiries from clients; to liaise with architectural, engineering and construction teams in connection with arboricultural impact assessments, tree protection plans and arboricultural method statements

7. To undertake detailed and in-depth investigations of trees and woodlands as and when required.

8. To provide technical or other arboricultural advice to clients, both verbally and in writing.

9. To attend and participate effectively in design team meetings and lead on-site pre-start meetings.

10. To produce written appeal statements for informal hearings; to appear at and contribute to informal appeal hearings.

 

In return they are offering:

Salary- £40- £45k salary pa depending on experience; Pension and profit sharing schemes; 25 days paid holiday plus Bank Holidays; Annual CPD budget; Flexible working hours; Use of pool car.
