Best hydraulic hoses?

Anyone got any recommendations for hoses, in particular 3/4" mult-spiral. I was very impressed with Gates megaflex and have had the usual own brands. My wondering is because I wrestled with a hellishly stiff hydroscand today; good hose and a tenth of the price of the Pirtek Pirates, but is there anything softer which is 35 plus rated??? Thanks.

When I replaced all the hoses on my original Engcon Tiltrotator I noticed the hose was called Manuli Rockmaster.

The hoses had lasted brilliantly in some arduous conditions, so I sourced the same hose, and it's really good stuff, ideal for grabs and rotators.

It's some form of mining hose with high abrasion resistance and flexibility.

Eddie.

I use either gates for the 3/8th rotator or Stauff for anything larger. Both very good prices and about a 1/3 of hydra ripoff or pirtek.

A third of the price of hydro which was a tenth of Pirtek?! Last time I had a metre from Pirtek it was £100/metre, paid £10/m yesterday for hydroscand...

Was that multi-spiral Eddie? Thanks.

try googling a company called parquip, there prices are really good, they've managed to beat every quote I've had for hoses and fittings, and for your information manuli hoses are made in italy by the same factory that makes pirelli stuf(what the ripoff merchants pirtek sell), it is available from most hydraulic suppliers
