Had a demo on one at wilsons, once you get used to that long op lever, but we bought the ks35s with the joysticks in the end. Cut about 100t softwood so far no probs also done about 25t hardwood. If you were near you would be welcome to come and try it.

I have had mine for 4 years and it has probably cut 600 tons and it has only needed two springs and two studs in all that time. So plus side it has been very reliable, easy to set up, you can change a chain quickly and it is a good over all machine. Downsides, the ram, conveyor/chainsaw and splitting knife levers are all large and the latter two can get in the way, the ram speed can be a bit slow and we have modified mine as the infeed conveyor was bending.

 

I would say whatever machine you look at, don't believe the claims people make for what they can produce in a day. Once guy I spoke to said he could do double what I was doing but he had taken every safety cover off and disconnected sensors!! Sorry, I like fingers and hands were they are!
