Any recommends for crane scales

Keep meaning to get some to weigh IBCs of logs. Seems the easiest way to quickly estimate how dry a crate of logs is.

 

Lots of 1000kg scales ones on Ebay for £80 ish but anyone tried some?

Will check once home, cos I recently purchased a set off ebay that weigh up to 300kg(if I recall correctly)

To weigh my 0.5m3 billet bundles

Seem to be 100%, from recall about £50.00

I recall the greater payload ones were significently more expensive though

I've got a PCE-CS 1000N. Seems to work; battery lasts well; hooks are a bit small so keep a couple of karabiners with it. Not had it verified/certified etc for Weights and Measures, but seems ballpark accurate to me. £140 inc VAT, etc.

for ibc's i would have thought they will come in at 700kg+ if green and seasoned you will still be flirting with the 500kg so min would be 1k, kg set

700 kg sounds too high to me. Have weighed a crate of wet logs before by batching them through the sheep scales. Can't find the results but think it was around 540k. I am after some 1000kg scales so plenty in hand. Plus our little tractor could not overstrain them with the loader as it would be waving its rear wheels in the air long before a 1000kg

I had green oak in a 90x90 bag and it weighed 470kg thereabouts but it was fresh felled to try and get as heavy as possible.

Just got a set of the 1000KG ones off ebay a few days ago for £88. Not used them that much but seem to be a nice bit of kit, the instructions even made sense!! I would get some, great for the money!
