Morning folks, been lurking for a while thought I'd better introduce myself as a new member.

Not worked in the industry but had chainsaws and other kit for years.

Started in the usual way buying crap saws as cash was tight.

I cut wood for heating, when I first bought the current house it had a solid fuel Central heating wood burner,as you can imagine this involved cutting and drying loads of wood.

Now it's just two Morso squirrels to feed.

I live in Wales with two acres of land which I manage for fuel, mainly ash, sycamore, pine old apple trees.

Owned lots if saws started with Mcculloch crap then half decent Echo.

Inherited a Sthil 28 wood boss, years ago which was first quality saw ,then purchased a 039 farm boss which served me for years, never had a problem with it

Father in law and I got tons if wood from Brechfa Forrest on £20 clearance tickets, not sure if they still do them nowadays .

039 was getting a bit tired so I recently invested in a new MS362c-m,still running it in, its on its 5 th tank of Aspen.

Was running a bit rough on tick over and stalled a few times,I did the mtronic re sett didn't seem to change much, hope it gets better more it's used !

Also got a recent ES460 cem brush cutter with excellent shredder blade,Lawnflite petrol splitter, takes the effort of splitting big rounds.

Built a 20'x20' open fronted wood store few years ago best thing I ever did to store and dry wood.

Other kit,Honda HRX mower,stihl 4 cycle hedge trimmer,blower shredder.

Learnt the lesson of buy cheap buy lots of times.

Great site with fantastic info .
