I've got some highways/motorway with coming up and need to up grade my begin lights. I'm after Leds to be mounted on top of the chip box.

Are there any to steer clear of? I'm thinking of some on eBay for about £25 (I'll post a URL when I get a computer). To cheep?

Any comment thoughts/ regulations I need to be aware of or good suppliers?

Cheers

Mark

Hey Mark. Are you coming down to the Arb show? If so, it might be worth you popping in to UTV Products to have a chat about your requirements. You can get plenty of cheap kit off Ebay, but we hear from a lot of people that in general the kit is just crap, and lasts about two weeks when properly used. Cheers.

Utv. I'll drop in and see you on Friday. That's what I was worried about buy cheap buy twice. ..

Defo, "buy cheap buy twice", had to replace (at dealer expense) my so-called 100% waterproof all-rounders shortly after initial fit. Never been 100% happy since and it's time for an upgrade/replace now. Let us know if you find a good product!

Placement of these is important. Regs say visible 360 degrees, on the watering bowser the cab mounted led was slightly lower than the filling neck of the tank on the back so they made us fit an extra beacon on the rear. Some transits would have the same problem if fitted with a chip box.
