Tree Identification

Hello Guys,

 

i'm currently studying for a MA interior design course at London Met. My current project is one that focuses on a building that provides vital education for the poor and working class in East London, through various group sessions and legal advice.

 

While undertaking the site research, I noticed a large number of existing trees that i would like to further research for my design concept due to their site location and the different species.

 

Here lies the problem, I have tried to identify the trees through on-line research but so far i have had no luck, which then lead to me trying to ask the experts who would know on this site.

 

I have attached a PDF which shows the Images for the various trees:

tree number 2 is silver birch.

2 is a birch, 4 Garrya, 8 looks like cherry laurel. You really need some close ups of the buds twigs for better id.

Tree 5 first pic looks like photinia but the last pic that says "tree 5" is just a rose. Tree 8 is prunus laurocerasus (laurel). Was gonna say tree 6 was Himalayan birch but I don't think it is as the branches don't look right. Tree 2 betula (birch) and 4 is garrya eliptica

5 looks like a battered Photinia

The leaves of 6 look like Pittosporum

Tree 5 is a Photinia but there's a rose growing through it, the hips are visible in some of the tree 5 pictures and in the stem picture (tree 5) the left Stem is rosa

I think 1 is Beech or possibly Red Oak.

why does tree 5 have one pic of one thing then another pic of something else
