Log splitter advice

Ok log boys here's the question.

I'm a tree surgeon who has piles and piles of cedar, pine, yew etc in the corner of my field. I burn a lot of my own hardwood and any excess can be given away no problem. It's the softwood that's becoming an issue.

Burning these large sections will be problematic so I thought maybe I could split it and sell it, mixed loads/softwood is the future of firewood I'm told.

I hate lifting and splitting so I want one of those jobbys with an arm that swings out and lifts it onto the splitting bed and a conveyor to minimize handling.

I would prefer a self powered unit as I don't want to put the hours on my compact tractor.

What do the experts think would suit my purpose?

Unless there's 100s of tonnes most chipping contractors are not interested plus you need the infrastructure to store tele to load hard standing.

Mountain man if I was you I'd buy a good quality vertical bad some cheep labour

Or your man in Wales or put another 5 k to your budget and buy a farmi wp36 with petrol engine when your not using it it could be hired out with an operator for £225/300 a day
